Friends of Appalachia, Inc. (FOA) is a Trumbull, Connecticut based Community Organization, open to all, which strives to educate and sensitize youth and adult volunteers to address the needs of the impoverished people in Central Appalachia.

FOA Sponsorship Letter (PDF Format) January Meeting
There will be a meeting on Sunday January 10, 2010 for all high school students, college students and advisors at 6:30 pm at Long Hill United Methodist Church.

Due at the January Meeting:
• A $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for ALL PARTICIPANTS (youth, college, advisors)
• Permission forms are due for all high school participants
• Agreement forms are due for ALL PARTICIPANTS (youth, college, advisors)

DON’T BE LATE! Participants who turn in deposits and forms after January 10 will be placed on a waiting list.

Meetings
General meetings are scheduled for January 10, February 28, March 28, April 11, May 2 and June 6, 2010.

Fire & Ice Fundraiser
Friday January 15, 2010
Sports Center of Connecticut Shelton

Friends of Appalachia Pendant Fundraiser
Friends of Appalachia sterling silver pendants, custom designed by Pablo Sevilla of Sevilla Designs, are available for $25 (with a 16” or 18” sterling silver chain). All proceeds above cost are being donated to Friends of Appalachia, Inc.
